Apple is supercharging its commitment to the U.S. with a staggering $600 billion investment over four years, including a groundbreaking American Manufacturing Program (AMP).

This initiative aims to relocate more of Apple's supply chain and advanced manufacturing stateside, partnering with global giants to produce critical components here.

CEO Tim Cook hailed the move, noting it builds on support from thousands of suppliers, creating over 450,000 jobs nationwide.

Through AMP, Apple teams up with firms like Corning, Coherent, and Texas Instruments to expand facilities in states including Kentucky, Texas, and Arizona.

For instance, a massive smartphone glass production line in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, will supply every iPhone and Apple Watch worldwide.

These efforts establish an end-to-end U.S. silicon supply chain, projecting 19 billion chips by 2025, with innovations in lasers, wafers, and rare earth magnets.

 

Apple plans to hire 20,000 Americans, focusing on R&D, AI, and engineering roles.

New facilities are sprouting up, like a Houston server factory powering Apple Intelligence and a Detroit Manufacturing Academy for business training.

Expansions in North Carolina, Iowa, and beyond will enhance data centers, all running on 100% renewable energy.

 

This surge not only exports U.S.-made parts globally—two-thirds head overseas—but also fosters innovation hubs, like Austin's expanding campus.

As COO Sabih Khan emphasized, Apple is positioning America as a leader in chip tech.
